King University Security Department provides fingerprinting services for students, faculty, and staff engaged in all King University programs that require a criminal background check.
When is a criminal background check required?
King University requires background checks for students entering certain programs that have direct contact with medical patients and/or children under the age of eighteen (18); students completing clinical rotations in a healthcare facility and/or local school systems.

How does a criminal background check affect my admission to a program that requires such checks?
The existence of a criminal conviction does not necessarily mean that a student will be denied admittance to the college or its programs. Each criminal conviction will be evaluated on a case by case basis. However, students with convictions for any of the criminal offenses listed below shall be denied admission to King University programs that have direct contact with medical patients and/or children under the age of eighteen (18). Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
